Abstract
Magnetic animal bone meal nanoparticels functionalized with thiourea dioxide (Fe3O4@ABM-TUD) were prepared as heterogeneous and green catalyst. The catalyst was characterized using several techniques, such as fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermogravimetrics (DTG) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The catalytic activity of Fe3O4@ABM-TUD was evaluated on the synthesis of biscoumarins in water. The catalyst was magnetically recovered and reused for five cycles without any significant loss of efficiency
