Abstract

A series of 3-chloro-1-[(2-hydroxynaphthalen-1-yl)(phenyl)methyl]-4-phenylazetidin-2-ones were synthesized under microwave as well as by conventional method and evaluated for in vitro  antibacterial efficacy against : Staphylococcus aureusPseudomonas vulgarisB. SubtilisPseudomonas Aeruginosa, and Escherichia coli,  respectively.
