Oxidative Cyclization of Arylidene Carboxyhydrazides: Synthesis of Substituted Hydroxydiphenylmethyl-1,3,4-Oxadiazoles

A series of 5-aryl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl-diphenylmethanols (4) and S-{5-[hydroxy (diphenyl)methyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl}-aryl carbothioates (7) were synthesized and characterized.

Diimine Chromium Complexes as Catalyst Precursors for Homogeneous Ethylene Polymerization

The synthesis and characterization of a- and b-diimine chromium complexes is reported. After activation with methyl aluminoxane (MAO), some of the catalysts can oligomerize, polymerize, and metathesize ethylene to give oligomers with  odd numbers of carbon atoms.

Synthesis, Characterization and NMR Studies of some
2,6-Diaminopyridine Complexes with Palladium(II), Rhodium(III) and Mercury(II)

A new set of palladium(II), rhodium(III) and mercury(II) complexes with 2,6-diaminopyridine (dap) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, infrared, electronic and 1H- and 13C{1H}-NMR spectra. The various bonding modes of dap have also been discussed.

Reactivity and Reaction Pathway Study using Mass Spectrometry

Gas phase chemistry of s-butanethiol with selected metal ions (Ag+, Cu+, Cd+, Pb+, Zn+, Cr+, Mn+, Ni+, Fe+, Co+, Pt+ and Au+) using FT-ICR/MS. The reaction pathways and, consequently, the reaction mechanisms were proposed by observing the variation of the normalized intensities of the different ions with time.

Potentiometric Investigation on Mixed-Ligand Complexes of some Lanthanide and Actinide Cations with Hydroxamic Acids and Diamines

The formation of ternary complexes of Th(IV), UO2(II), Ce(III), and La(III) cations with the monohydroxamic acids: acetohydroxamic acid (Aha), benzohydroxamic acid (Bha) and salicylhydroxamic acid (Sham) and diamines: ethylenediamine (en), 1,3-diaminopropane (dap), o-phenylenediamine (o-pda), m-phenylenediamine (m-pda) and p-phenylenediamine (p-pda) was studied using pH-metric titrations at 25 C and I = 0.10 (NaNO3) in aqueous medium.

Preparation and Physical Investigation of Complexes Derived from
4-Dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and 4-Aminoantipyrine Schiff Base with Ni(II), Cu(II), Rh(III), and Pt(IV) Ions

Four new Schiff base complexes derived from Ni(II), Cu(II), Rh(III), and Pt(IV) with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and 4-aminoantipyrine were prepared and investigated using some elemental analysis such as molar conductivity measurements, thermogravimetric analysis, magnetic moments, infrared, electronic and mass spectra.
